SAVANNAH, Ga. — With diplomas in hand and sitting six feet apart, Savannah State University held its first in-person graduation since the beginning of the pandemic. Over 300 students walked across the stage, finishing their journey at the university.

Families in the stands cheered as loud as they could while their students walked across the stage to recognize their hard work over the past four years.
On December 12, the school will be holding another in-person ceremony for the Spring 2020 graduates who were recognized through a virtual graduation when the pandemic first started.
